Selection & system sizing

Do two 150 W panels equal one 300 W panel?

Their nameplate power is equal, but voltage, current, wiring, mounting area, mismatch, transport and controller compatibility can differ.

Is a higher-watt panel always more efficient?

No. Wattage is total rated power. Module efficiency is power produced per unit area and must be checked separately.

Is every 21700 cell more powerful than every 18650 cell?

No. Current capability depends on the exact cell design. Compare confirmed capacity, resistance, continuous and pulse current, temperature and cycle data.

Read: 18650 vs. 21700: How Should Battery Pack Buyers Choose?
Can a pack be changed from 18650 to 21700 without redesign?

Usually not. Cell holders, enclosure, interconnects, thermal behavior, series/parallel count, BMS settings and validation may all change.

How long will a 5 kWh battery run a 500 W load?

In a planning example with 80% usable depth of discharge and 90% inverter efficiency, usable AC energy is about 3.6 kWh, giving roughly 7.2 hours at a constant 500 W load.

Should poultry-farm heating be battery powered?

Electric resistance heating creates a very large overnight energy requirement. Compare gas, biomass, heat-pump or hybrid options and protect critical ventilation separately.

Can Sharxell quote from a monthly electricity bill alone?

A bill can support a grid-tied estimate, but it does not show peak power, critical loads, motor surge or day/night distribution. An off-grid design still needs a load schedule.

Read: What Information Is Required Before Quoting a Complete Off-Grid Solar System?
Why are city and destination port both required?

The city supports solar and temperature assumptions; the destination and quantity support packing, freight and commercial planning.

Read: What Information Is Required Before Quoting a Complete Off-Grid Solar System?
Is voltage and capacity enough for a quotation?

No. Current profile, dimensions, connector, BMS, charger, temperature, application, compliance destination and quantity can materially change the design and cost.

Read: What Information Is Required to Quote a Custom Lithium Battery Pack?
Can an existing battery sample be copied?

A sample supports dimensional and interface review, but ownership, safety, cell availability and compliance still require a new documented specification and validation plan.

Can a 24,000 BTU air conditioner run directly from solar panels?

It should run through a correctly sized inverter or solar-air-conditioner controller. A grid, battery or other stabilizing source may also be required because PV output changes with clouds and temperature.

Is a 5 kW inverter always enough?

Not always. Confirm continuous input power, compressor starting behavior, power factor, other simultaneous loads and the inverter's surge rating.

Can capacity be maximized to fill the complete device cavity?

The design needs clearance for manufacturing tolerance, protective components, wiring and normal cell expansion. Filling the entire rigid cavity can create mechanical stress.

Is a 3.7 V Li-polymer cell compatible with every 3.7 V device?

No. Confirm maximum charge voltage, cutoff, current, connector polarity, thermistor, protection and physical fit.

Battery & solar technology

Is LiFePO4 always safer than NMC?

LiFePO4 generally has greater thermal stability, but pack safety still depends on cell quality, mechanical protection, BMS, fusing, charger compatibility and thermal design.

Read: LiFePO4 vs. NMC Batteries: Which Chemistry Should Buyers Choose?
Can LiFePO4 and NMC use the same charger?

Usually not without verified compatibility. Their nominal voltages and charge limits differ, so the charger and BMS must match the exact series count and cell specification.

Does a 5C battery fully discharge in 12 minutes?

The mathematical rate corresponds to 1/5 hour, but usable capacity, voltage cutoff and temperature at high current may prevent the rated capacity from being delivered in practice.

Read: What Does 1C, 3C or 5C Mean on a Lithium Battery?
Is charge C-rate the same as discharge C-rate?

No. A cell may permit high discharge current but a much lower charge current. Check both limits separately.

Read: What Does 1C, 3C or 5C Mean on a Lithium Battery?
Can a primary lithium battery be recharged?

No. Attempting to recharge a non-rechargeable lithium battery can cause leakage, venting, fire or rupture.

Read: Primary Lithium vs. Rechargeable Lithium Batteries
Are all batteries called lithium-ion rechargeable?

Lithium-ion normally refers to rechargeable systems, but product names must be checked carefully. Primary lithium-metal chemistries are non-rechargeable.

Does series connection increase amp-hours?

No. For matched units, series connection adds voltage while the amp-hour rating remains that of one series string.

Read: Series vs. Parallel Battery Connections: What Changes?
Can different-capacity batteries be connected in parallel?

It is generally unsuitable without an engineered architecture. Differences in voltage, state of charge, impedance, age and protection can cause unequal or hazardous currents.

Does low hot-weather output mean the panel is defective?

Not by itself. Compare measured irradiance, cell temperature, operating point, shading and instrument accuracy with the module datasheet before diagnosing a defect.

Read: Why Does a 625W Solar Panel Produce Less Than 625W in Hot Weather?
Can a solar panel ever exceed its rated power?

Briefly, yes, under high irradiance and cool cell conditions if the connected equipment can accept the power. The nameplate is not a field-production guarantee.
